The formulation, which includes extracts from rice bran, shallot, licorice root, and corn kernels, enhances the proliferation of human hair follicle dermal papilla cells and activates key hair growth signaling pathways, outperforming standard treatments like minoxidil. It also exhibits strong anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, reduces factors contributing to follicular damage, and inhibits 5α-reductase, an enzyme involved in androgen metabolism. The microemulsion's stability and non-toxicity were confirmed, maintaining over 80% cell viability at certain concentrations. The study suggests Hair RiseTM as a promising natural alternative to synthetic AGA treatments, though further efficacy tests in AGA patients are recommended.
