TLDR Hair transplantation improves quality of life and reduces stress and anxiety.
This study investigated the impact of hair transplantation on the quality of life and psychosocial functioning in 48 patients with androgenetic alopecia. Using the Follicular Unit Extraction method, the study found significant improvements in patients' quality of life, as measured by the SF-36 Physical and Mental Health Score, and increased life satisfaction according to Diener's Life Satisfaction Scale (DASS-21). Stress and anxiety levels were significantly reduced post-procedure, although there were no significant changes in depression and perceived social support. Overall, hair transplantation was associated with enhanced quality of life and psychosocial well-being.
