TLDR Polynucleotides show promise for improving skin conditions safely but need more research.
Polynucleotides (PNs) are gaining traction in aesthetic dermatology for their potential in improving skin conditions through mechanisms like tissue remodeling and hydration. This article compiles expert opinions on using PNs (Rejuran ®) for skin hydration, structural support, barrier repair in conditions like rosacea and eczema, and scar remodeling. PNs are noted for their safety, with no reported granuloma or vascular occlusion cases, making them suitable for sensitive skin. Despite promising applications, the evidence is limited, necessitating further research, including randomized trials, to validate their efficacy and standardize treatment protocols.
