TLDR Combining psychodermatology and PRP therapy can improve skin condition treatment by addressing both mental and physical health.
This narrative review explores the integration of psychodermatology and platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy in dermatological care, emphasizing their potential to improve clinical outcomes and quality of life in chronic skin conditions. Psychodermatology addresses the connection between psychological health and skin disease, while PRP is a regenerative treatment effective in conditions like acne scarring, alopecia, melasma, vitiligo, and wounds. The review suggests that combining these approaches can enhance patient-centered care by addressing both the psychological and physical aspects of skin diseases, advocating for a multidisciplinary approach in dermatological practice.
