Real World Evidence in Alopecia Areata: Current Management, Emerging Therapies and Future Challenges – A Narrative Review

This narrative review discusses the advancements in the management of alopecia areata (AA), an autoimmune hair loss condition, through new targeted therapies such as biologics and small molecules. These therapies have transformed the treatment landscape for AA, offering new benefits but also presenting challenges and uncertainties. The review highlights the importance of real-world data collection and introduces GRASS-UK/GRASS-International, a global network of disease registers aimed at studying the long-term safety and effectiveness of these emerging therapies. The review underscores the need for ongoing research and collaboration to optimize AA management.
