    GlossaryMultiphoton Microscopy

uses multiple photons for deep, detailed tissue imaging

Multiphoton Microscopy (MPM) is an advanced imaging technique that allows scientists to view living tissues at a cellular level with high resolution. Unlike traditional fluorescence microscopy, MPM uses multiple photons of lower energy to excite fluorescent dyes, reducing photodamage and allowing deeper tissue penetration. This makes it particularly useful for studying complex biological structures, such as hair follicles and skin layers, in their natural state.
