Significant improvements in hematological and iron status parameters were observed after treatment with intravenous ferric sucrose or ferric carboxymaltose. At three months, 60% of patients experienced complete resolution of hair loss, 36% had partial improvement, and 4% had persistent hair loss. Patients with complete resolution had higher baseline hemoglobin levels. The study concludes that intravenous iron therapy is effective for treating hair loss associated with iron deficiency, but larger prospective studies are needed for confirmation.
