Administered three times weekly, the treatment led to significant improvement within 2 months and complete resolution after 9 months (55 sessions). The study suggests acupuncture as a potential non-pharmacological treatment for AA, though further controlled studies with biomarker analysis are needed to understand the therapeutic mechanisms.
