They also down-regulated major proinflammatory cytokines by 30-50% and promoted the synthesis of ceramides and dihydroceramides by 40-70%, enhancing skin barrier function. The findings suggest that ASCEs have strong regenerative and anti-inflammatory properties, making them promising candidates for treating inflammatory skin diseases like atopic dermatitis.
