The solubility of nifedipine was significantly improved in ethanol compared to aqueous media. Solid-state studies confirmed the compatibility of the drug with excipients. Overall, the study successfully developed nifedipine FDTs with improved in vitro performance, suggesting their potential for better oral delivery.
