The findings revealed that women with PCOS had significantly higher median AMH levels (8.5 ng/ml) compared to controls (2.5 ng/ml), with a cutoff value of 4.1 ng/ml effectively identifying 84% of PCOS cases. AMH levels did not significantly differ across age groups, BMI categories, or PCOM types. The area under the ROC curve (AUC) for AMH was 0.93 for total PCOS cases and 0.96 for phenotype A cases, indicating strong diagnostic potential. While AMH showed no correlation with BMI, FG score, PCOM, or several hormones, a weak correlation was noted with testosterone and DHT in specific PCOS phenotypes. The study concludes that AMH is a promising biomarker for diagnosing PCOS, especially in women with phenotype A and D.
